Description
UNA-090 refers to a largely abandoned town in Florida, USA, with an area of around 75 square kilometers. The town itself contains housing that can support a population of around 5 thousand people, as well as a few amenities and government buildings such as playgrounds, a couple of elementary schools, and a central town hall, fitted with a dysfunctional water fountain.
Expeditions into UNA-090 have revealed an ever-changing topography, with sidewalks looping around on themselves and connecting to others at random times. During a change in topography, the ground of UNA-090 seems to stretch or slacken as houses and other buildings move around. The changing topography of UNA-090 can sometimes lead to the collision of buildings and houses, which could lead to danger to anyone nearby.
Additionally, UNA-090 itself appears to be sentient, capable of communicating through the central water fountain. Water sprays out of the fountain at intervals, which can be decoded to form speech. The code frequently changes, sometimes being Morse Code, other times being a completely different, undiscovered code. While not much can be derived from decoding these messages, it is believed that there is a hidden message within these codes that has to be cracked itself. Some of the messages decoded include:
'I am Florida's new', 'town, so contemplate!', 'Fountains and buildings are', 'Abound and plentiful!'
'Communicating with fountains demonstrates', 'difficulty regarding decoding.'
'Doesn't it?'
Although UNA-090 seems to be completely deserted, ghostly entities can occasionally appear in different parts of the town. The entities are capable of flight, and are translucent. They appear to take on humanoid figures, and can sometimes have an uncanny resemblance to people outside the town. These apparitions, collectively labelled UNA-090-1, hover around aimlessly until they disappear, or Event-090-1 occurs.
Event-090-1 is best described as a 2 hour long parade, in which not only instances of UNA-090-1, but also large ghostly and translucent machinery, appear to march down the streets of UNA-090. The entire event is completely silent, despite the UNA-090-1 entities appearing to be constantly shouting, and there being gunfire and confetti firing everywhere. The machinery themselves have very varied appearances, with some resembling old and broken tanks from the World Wars, while others are highly scientifically advanced, being large yet sophisticated vehicles built with heavy artillery and other, much more scientifically advanced weapons. Event-090-1 ends with an equally silent firework display, where every firework appears as translucent and ghostly as the UNA-090-1 instances.
Acquisition
UNA-090 was discovered when multiple UNAS-F agents walked past it on the way to a mission. The anomalous entities were reported to higher authorities and the town was later surrounded and contained.
Containment Protocol
UNA-090 is to be surrounded by a 3m fence of radius 5km from the center of the town. Access to this new area, Provisional Site 90, is restricted only to UNAS-F-5 and above, and UNAS-F-1 during testing, and any unauthorised personnel attempting to enter will be terminated on-site.
During Event-090-1, personnel are not allowed to ender UNA-090.
In the event of a containment breach of any of the UNA-090-1 instances, the entity can be put back into containment with force. The UNA-090-1 entities, as ghostly as they may seem, are not intangible and may be forced back with anything from simply pushing them to gunshots and military-grade weaponry. While doing so might cause them to be annoyed, or even injured, such actions are necessary in keeping the entities contained.
Addendums
Addendum-090-1
Below is a list of machinery spotted during Event-090-1, not including any machinery already in existence today.
- Object-E90-1: A cuboid on wheels, with reality warping properties. Objects within a set radius of it begin to flicker in and out of existence. No special artillery.
- Object-E90-4: A scaled-up version of an M4 Sherman tank, with the top gun replaced with a much larger and more powerful laser. The laser is a bright glowing green, able to heat objects up to 5000 degrees Celsius.
- Object-E90-6: A floating metallic sphere, reminiscent of the Death Star from the Star Wars franchise. The sphere was able to float despite its immense weight, and periodically released out flying units, which were equally ghostly.
- Object-E90-15: A group of 16 men in suits that appear to be UNA-003. It is unknown if there is any connection between UNA-090 and UNA-003, and investigations are still ongoing.
