Interview Log 030-001
Date: 19 July 2014
Interviewer: Dr [REDACTED], Clearance Code 030-5
Interviewee: PoI-1857 UNA-030
Forward: Subject is in a traumatised state. Psychological analysis from earlier suggests some event that occurred causing said trauma. Interview conducted with the intent to identify the event, as well as possible causes for PoI-1857's UNA-030's condition.
Note: All instances of "PoI-1857" from the document onward have been automatically replaced with "UNA-030", for the sake of reading convenience.

Dr: Hello. Can you please state your name, age, and where you're from?
UNA-030: It's flashing so much…
Dr: Can you please state your name?
UNA-030: I'm sorry… Uhm… 365. My name is 365.
Dr: A number?
UNA-030: That's what I'm called. I'm… thirty-five this year, I think. From [REDACTED].
Dr: Sorry? [REDACTED]?
UNA-030: Oh, I'm really sorry, you probably… probably don't understand. I'm from somewhere else. Like, not on Earth. Not an alien no. [Pause] I don't think so.
Dr: I see. Maybe an alternate reality?
UNA-030: You could call it that. It's my home, but… I've been teleporting heere since. It's really scary.
Dr: Could you describe your experience, or how you came to gain these abilities?
UNA-030: I don't know. It was about a few months ago? There was some bright flashing, I was suddenly in some house, and then I was back. Really quick, three second trip. I… I thought it was some hallucination first, but it wasn't. The trips became more and more frequent, and I would be teleported somewhere random almost once every day. I was transported for longer and longer periods of time, I guess. Until two days ago. I winded up in some old man's home, and I was never able to go back.
Dr: I see. What did it feel like to be teleported?
UNA-030: Nothing much really, I didn't feel anything. Just a bright flash of light, and that's it. Well, after being teleported I would have feelings of nausea too, I guess.
Dr: That's interesting to hear. Any idea how this ability… works?
There is a short silence as UNA-030 thinks.
UNA-030: I'm not sure. My Physics teacher once told us about quantum mechanics, or nested dimensions. It may have something to do with those?
Dr: Those are possible explanations to your abilities. I think we can stop here for now. We can talk again sometime, if you're comfortable.
UNA-030: Thank you. Can you help with my condition? I really don't like the flashing.
Dr: We will try.
<End Log>
Closing Notes: Despite the way I've referred to UNA-030's anomalous traits, the subject still believes it to be a negative "condition", even though most would see such a trait to be beneficial. Additionally, UNA-030 mentions a Physics teacher, suggesting that his childhood life may be similar to that of our reality. The event causing Dimension β to become a dystopia must have been recent. More interviews will be conducted the following week to ascertain exactly what could have happened.

Dr: Hello, 030.
UNA-030: Have you found a cure?
Dr: Excuse me?
UNA-030: For my condition. You said you would find one.
Dr: Ah, well… We are currently looking more into studying your condition rather than removing it. It's a very special ability to have, and we want to try and replicate it if possible.
UNA-030: I see. I guess that would be fine.
Dr: Right, let's get to business. Can I ask you something about your reality?
UNA-030: Shoot.
Dr: You had an education as a child, right? We were able to conclude that based on the previous interview. I also assume you lived with parents.
UNA-030: That's right. As a kid… things were nice. I was able to live, and my mom cooked me food, and my dad… It was a great time.
Dr: What happened? The world you're living in right now seems much far off from that.
UNA-030: Things happen. The government told us not to worry, but I think we all saw it. The other nations were acting so aggressively. You could see their town towards our president on TV. I don't know why we were asked to stay calm when clearly we were going to die.
Dr: You were attacked by neighbouring countries?
UNA-030: Yeah… not exactly. The countries did attack us, but we managed to hold them off. Our military is really strong apparently. Probably why the government told us to not be concerned.
Dr: So what happened?
UNA-030: They came. Not really sure what they were, but they came.
Dr: Can you describe them? Humans, maybe? Humanoid?
UNA-030: I don't know, never seen one. But I've heard of numerous stories. And their effects were seen clearly around us. One day you're living peacfully at home, the next its completely gone, replaced by some flaming ruins, that are the only remains of your house. I remember waking up to the sound of explosions. I was sleeping in my bed before that. But when I opened my eyes, I only saw grey. Grey, thick soot.
Dr: Your house was destroyed.
UNA-030: Yeah… uhm. I was living with my parents then. [Pause] When I woke up my mom and dad weren't there. [UNA-030's voice falters, and his face could be seen turning red.] Tried calling for them. There was no answer.
Dr: They were lost?
UNA-030: I never found them. Not the bodies. [Pause] They might still be alive, but I never bothered finding them. The only thing I was focused on was running away. I was too blinded by the event, I guess. Considered only the worst possibility. [UNA-030 drops his head, facing down. His face is out of view of the camera.]
Dr: We can continue this next time, if you wish.
UNA-030: Yeah, yeah… That would be good. I think I just need a bit of time to think alone.
Dr: Very well.
UNA-030: Actually, sir? I think I remember something. The night that it happened, that was when I started having the condition.
Dr: That's interesting. Thank you, 030.
<End Log>
Closing Notes: Dimension β's dystopian nature seems to be caused by political dispute, although an anomaly could be involved. Current exploration attempts are to focus on finding such entities, and contain a number of them if possible. UNA-030's anomalous properties may be related to the said entities.

Foreward: Interview is part of a weekly routine to check up on UNA-030's mental health.

UNA-030: I've decided I want a name.
Dr: We've been calling you 030.
UNA-030: Not a number. That's weird. You all have normal names, like ████, ██████, and ████████. How come I don't have a name?
Dr: That's… odd. You aren't supposed to know their names. Did they tell you?
UNA-030: Well, I overheard them talking to each other.
Dr: I see. Well, what was your name before?
UNA-030: I sort of forgot it.
Dr: You don't remember?
UNA-030: I mean, it wasn't something that was used often. We had names, but really weren't referred to by them. We just gestured to each other when we needed. Not sure why, but possibly something regarding identity or something. Either way, my birth certificate is currently the only record of my actual name, and I don't remember it.
Dr: Ah. What do you have in mind then?
UNA-030: Uhm… Do you have suggestions?
Dr: I… guess not. You… well, you can flash through realities, right? Do you want "Flash"?
UNA-030: No, that sounds weird. [Dr [REDACTED] nods vigorously in approval to this response.] What about… "Grey"?
Dr: Ah, that's interesting. Why that name?
UNA-030: The only thing I was thinking about just now was the smoke and soot honestly. But I quite like it.
Dr: I quite like it too.

Closing Notes: None.
Interview Log 030-072
Date: 19 April 2015
Interviewer: Dr [REDACTED], Clearance Code 030-5
Interviewee: UNA-030
Foreward: UNA-030 requested this interview three days after the previous one, despite no interview being planned. UNA-030 claimed the matter to be quite urgent.
<Begin Log>
Dr: What's up, Grey?
UNA-030: I wanted to ask you a little something.
Dr: Why, something important happened?
UNA-030: Not… exactly. There's just…
Dr: Well, spit it out. It's urgent, right?
UNA-030: Jeez, there's no need to be so insistent. There's this researcher. I've been talking to her for a while, and we've been having a few conversations.
Dr: I don't follow—
UNA-030: I think I like her.
Dr: Hmm?
UNA-030: I want to take her out. You know, on a date.
Dr: I… don't think that's possible, Grey.
UNA-030: Why not? I mean, yeah, you guy's don't have a flower shop, but I wanted to try things out, maybe?
Dr: No, it's that romantic relationship are genrally not allowed where we work. Not even between colleagues, much less a…
UNA-030: An anomaly like me?
Dr: That's not what—
UNA-030: I get that I'm not the most normal of people, sir, but I'm still human. I just wanted help to ask her out. I thought that you, of all people, would be willing to help me with it.
Dr: Why's that?
UNA-030: We're friends, sir. You would help me, just as how I would help you. That's what friendship is about, right? I guess you don't think so.
Dr: It's strictly against the rules, Grey. You cannot date her because—
UNA-030: I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear any more of you.
<End Log>
Closing Notes: UNA-030's romantic attraction to Dr [REDACTED] of the Department Physiological and Psychiatrical Analysis is unacceptable. By order of the Board of Executives, amnestics are to be used on UNA-030 to remove any memory of Dr [REDACTED]. Dr [REDACTED] herself is to be relocated to Site-0██.
