Equipment Index

The UNAS-F uses a wide variety of equipment in its quest to hunt down and contain as many anomalies as possible. It is thus important that the Foundation keeps track of what kind of equipment they own, where to find them, and on what occasions they are to be used.

Over the years of containing anomalies, the UNAS-F has found it extremely important that information not be leaked to the public. While this previously meant the detention of civilians who knew about the UNAS-F, with the advent of amnestics, substances could be administered to the people so that they lost any memory of any anomalous incidents occurring.

Amnestic Class Amount in Supply Use Case
Class A Appox. 20 thousand liters per Site

The mildest of amnestics, Class A amnestics simply allow civilians to forget incidents that occur in the last 24 hours. Any injuries sustained will be met with shock or confusion, and civilians will have no idea what had happened to them over the period of time. There have been certain cases where memory was regained, and civilians do seem to have some sort of reaction to video recordings or photos of the incident they forgot, but generally civilians will never remember the events that occur for the remainder of their lives.

A single dose (10ml) of Class A amnestics are to be administered to any civilians who have witnessed the less traumatising effects of UNAs, and can be returned to society almost immediately after administration.

Class B Approx. 15 thousand liters per Site

Class B amnestics act with a much stronger effect, completely rendering civilians incapable of forming new memories for 24 hours, or recalling previous ones, up to 24 hours. In this state, civilians still act normally, however will display signs of short term memory loss and can sometimes show aggression. As such, caution is to be taken when looking after civilians upon administration of Class B amnestics. This class of amnestics, as well as all Classes after this, have proven effective at completely removing any anomalous incident from civilians' memories.

A single does (10ml) of Class B amnestics is advised to be given to any civilians who have had a direct encounter with UNAs, or have witness any traumatising effects of UNAs. After this, civilians should be detained for up to 36 hours in EDP storage cells before being released to the public.

Class C Approx. 3 thousand liters per Site

Class C amnestics is the strongest of the commonly used amnestics. This substance renders civilians completely comatose from anywhere between 36 and 72 hours, and can remove memories up to 48 hours before administration. Class C amnestics can result in major health complications and mental issues and should thus be used sparingly. Civilians who awake after using Class C amnestics typically feel fatigued, and this feeling can last up to a month after administration. As such, it is wise to keep civilians detained for at least a week after he awakes.

A single dose (2.5ml) of Class B amnestics should be administered to any civilians who have been severely injured by UNAs, and require surgery. The surgery is to be done while the civilian is in a comatose state, and when awoken, the civilian is to be put through tests to evaluate his physical state. Release to the public can be authorised immediately after awakening, but is advised to only be allowed a week after.

Class G Approx. 30 liters per Site

Class G amnestics specifically work on a civilian's long term memory, as opposed to short term. These amnestics are extremely powerful in removing memories of the distant past, such as the civilian's name, residence, age, and important events like birthdays, graduations and weddings. This also removes their ability to form long term memories. Civilians administered Class G amnestics often enter states of paranoia and panic as a result of their sudden loss of past memories as a result. Despite this, short term memories are not removed, and can still be recalled by civilians.

There is no real reason to use Class G amnestics on civilians, but personnel can use these amnestics on EDPs if deemed necessary for an experiment.

Class X Approx. 200ml, in Site-012

Class X amnestics is an anomalous substance produced by UNA-152. Its effects are not fully understood, but has shown to be quite effective at removing memories. Tests are ongoing to determine if Class X amnestics can actually be repurposed as an actual amnestic.

Until then, personnel are prohibitied from the use of Class X amnestics, except if it is for experiments. Use of Class X amnestics without permission from higher authorities may result in severe disciplinary action, or even termination.

Class Z Approx. 25 liters per Site

Class Z amnestics work along the lines of a 'factory reset', where every single memory belonging to a civilian is wiped out. The civilian can still form new memories, and there is no other negative effect on the person's brain, however, civilians are still able to converse well, and can even start a new life if they choose to do so. Most of the time, however, unprepared individuals who have been administered Class Z amnestics have driven themselves to suicide, simply due to the lack of identity, and recognition of anyone at all.

Foundation personnel who are leaving the UNAS-F are required to be administered Class Z amnestics, with their choice of false memories implanted into their brain. That personnel is no longer affiliated with the Foundation, and is to be treated as a civilian.
